spinning from perpetual motion
I worked another lovely weather shift on a Saturday night. Many people loathe working on a weekend like a terrible ailment but I embrace having the entire weather shop to myself. We are in Alaska and there is never much to capture the imagination or senses on a Saturday night so what better way to spend it than reading and trying to perform an extremely ardous and difficult job!(extreme sarcasm) Honestly, weekends working are spent in the arms of a good book. Funny, me saying that last phrase, reading for me has always been like eating vegetables. Going through high school i began to notice my sophomore year that intelligence was a trend spreading like wild-fire, or rather the mere act of portraying an intellectual demeanor. I've always regarded myself as an extreme thinker since high school. I lie to myself in this regard, pretending to know facts of vast content but merely displaying a lackluster opinion. I firmly believe that the large amount of youth that was to "smart" for high school and continues to be to smart for anything that requires faith continues to destroy our country. The thoughtless and self rightous will lead us into a decline from within the belly of America. I've never written something that was as truthful as this. I think most writer's who are deemed as the "greatest writers in history" are so great because they speak the truth and don't overlay it with a bunch of could be's or at-aboy's or get em next times. Good writing is purely truth even if it hurts. I've made it a goal to start writing more. I was reading a few weeks ago that the ability of the brain to learn begins to decline in the early 30's. Well, i'm 21 and have nine years to go and i figure at least ten years to make up for. I raise my glass of whiskey to this and all hope for future endeavours and novels and art i hope to read.
